The OCF

The Open Computing Facility (OCF) is an all-volunteer student organization dedicated to free computing for all University of California at Berkeley students, faculty, and staff. Among our services, we offer:

• Free shell account (SSH)
• Free disk & web space (2 GB)
• Free email (@ocf.berkeley.edu)
• Free printing (250 pages/semester)
• Spiffy computer lab in 6A Hearst Gym

The OCF offers hosting to numerous student groups on campus. Among the services offered to groups, we offer:

• Free hosting for OSL-registered groups
• Virtual hosting (yourgroup.Berkeley.EDU)
• Same privileges as individual accounts

› Visit a staff member in lab to create a group account.
› More information about your group account

05/04 Lab hours will be extended until 9pm beginning Mon May 6.
      Lab will close for the semester on Fri May 17 at 12pm.

02/17 Printing limits at the lab: 30 pages per day, 250 pages per semester.
